Paris

Could Paris possibly live up to its name?

Romantic, fashionable, full of lively bistros serving the latest gastronomic cuisine, oh and shall I mention expensive? I believe this city does. I rolled into Paris one September with very little money in my pockets. I toured the city on my own accord, taking the metro to the major highlights, one being Jim Morrison’s tombstone.

The summer air and crowds can be stifling that time of year but Paris has a lot to share, so any time of year will do and the deeper your pockets, the more you will find.

Shabby French hotels are priceless in my opinion and luckily I managed to afford a room and one of Paris’s delicious crème filled crepes at the foot of the Sacré Coeur.

To anyone making plans to visit Paris, I would suggest brushing up on your French before making the journey, as a little language skill will go a long way in France.

Guide books will help you plan your trip efficiently and save you some time and money. This helped me tremendously as Paris is huge and there is oh, so much to see!
