San Diego

America’s finest city just may be in the finest location. San Diego is California’s most Southwestern coastal city only fifteen minutes north of the Mexican border.

Tantalizing Californian cuisine is at its finest here, in a city surrounded by citrus and avocado groves, an abundance of fresh seafood and an international flair.

It is here that I’ve spent most years of my life, not returning as a loyal tourist, but as a loyal resident.  Anytime of the year is pleasant with a mild temperate climate.  Temperatures seldom dip below 45 degrees in the winter and rarely exceed 90 in the summer; although microclimates exist in the neighboring mountains and valleys just outside the city limits. San Diego is not the city of four seasons in one day, but you will find the opportunity to indulge in just about every seasonal sport in one day. The privileged location of this city beckons the ocean lover with nearly 70 miles of cool coastal waves that crash upon bronzed sandy beaches. Deep-sea fishing and surfing are very popular sports here for those very reasons. Mountains rise from the east with peaks reaching almost 6,000 feet, allowing expansive views over the Anza-Borrego Dessert, a hikers paradise.

San Diego captured my heart over the many years I have come and gone and grown into an adult. I suggest taking a visit here as San Diego may just capture your heart by sundown.
