Seattle

January is a month for new beginnings and I found them in Seattle, Washington.

A few years back I took a one-way flight with a couple of suitcases packed to the brim and a stowaway teardrop in the corner of my eye.

Seattle is a city known for it’s landmark Space Needle, a musical edge thanks to grunge rock bands of the early 90’s and the Experience Music Project, but its also a place with a big heart and a sober personality. Surrounded by green parks and the waters edge of the sound, Seattle has many places worth visiting. Pikes Place Market is a must. You can find everything from the fresh catch of the day, colorful bouquets, sweet pepper jelly, warm baked bread, fresh dishes from all over the world, taro card readers and busker’s playing your favorite tunes.

If you do make time to pay a visit, slow down for a local cup of Joe and mingle with the natives.
