The WorldRamblers have arrived in Dublin.
With our flight from Arkansas to St Louis delayed so long we would have missed our connecting flight in New York, We found ourselves flying to Chicago instead and then flying to New York. After rushing from one terminal to another in order to make the flight to Dublin, we ended up spending an extra hour on the tarmac as we queued behind the endless line of planes waiting to take off. It made the flight seem much longer and with what appeared to be progressively less leg room with each flight, we were ready to reach our destination. We wearily strode off the plane in Dublin stiff legged and a little jet lagged the next morning.
It’s not the first time visiting Ireland for us. Only a few years ago Megan lived and worked here. During this time I’d frequently come over from England to spend fun weekends out on the town. The Guinness flows like a river and the taste is like nowhere else. It came as no surprise therefore to find myself sitting in an Irish bar listening to live music whilst cradling a pint of the good stuff the same day we arrived.
Unfortunately our stay here in Dublin is only brief this time as we have a flight to the UK in a couple of days. A shame as there’s so much to see and do here even before you get out of Dublin to see the real Ireland.
The Dublin tourist information has an extensive website which details lots of useful information. You can find them here
